Welcome!
Lisa Cornwell is a keynote speaker, author, and national broadcaster whose work explores the intersection of conflict, communication, and self-awareness…
A career shaped by conviction and the courage to speak up.
Growing up in Arkansas, competition was part of Lisa’s DNA. A two-sport athlete and Hall of Famer, she won four Arkansas Women’s State Golf Championships before becoming the first post-Title IX scholarship player at the University of Arkansas.
Her 20+ year broadcasting career began in Columbus, Mississippi, and led her to the national stage with Golf Channel. She now serves as a host and play-by-play voice for the PGA TOUR on ESPN+.
Along the way, Lisa found a purpose that led her to write her memoir, Troublemaker. It’s not just a reflection on what went wrong—it’s a call to action. She wrote it to challenge outdated systems, affirm that courage is contagious, and remind women that their stories matter.
Speaker. Advocate. Ally.
From a Hall of Fame athlete to a national broadcaster, Lisa Cornwell built a career on performance and resilience. But her most powerful lesson didn’t come from winning—it came from looking inward.
After a defining season of public success and personal reckoning, she realized that being right and being effective are not the same thing. What followed was a profound shift: a commitment to self-awareness, intentional communication, and growth rooted in humility.
Today, she challenges audiences to examine the story they’re telling the world—through their words, their actions, and their impact. Her message is simple but powerful: Self-awareness isn’t weakness. It’s strength. It’s also the foundation for lasting change.

- Aligning Words with Values
With a powerful foreword from Hillary Rodham Clinton, Lisa’s tell-all book, Troublemaker: A Memoir of Sexism, Retaliation, and the Fight They Didn’t See Coming, takes readers inside the boys’ club of sports media and reveals the way powerful corporations cover up wrongdoings. For her, what began with sexism and retaliation exploded into a public smear campaign and, ultimately, her dismissal.
Candid and compulsively readable, Troublemaker is a timely story about fighting back against the sexist cultural norms that remain deeply embedded in our society. It will resonate with anyone who has experienced unfair treatment in the workplace due to their gender, race, orientation, and more.
"This is a thought-provoking, brave book, by a woman I liked as a little girl who grew up to be intelligent, honest, and strong. Reading it will make all of us more sensitive to discrimination still hiding in plain sight."
